The fourth edition of "Fluid Power: Theory and Applications" has been revised to include the latest changes and practices in the industry as well as recent changes in international ISO 1219-1 symbols, especially pressure relief and reducing valves. Material has also been reorganized and enhanced to include new illustrations components, and circuits. Emphasizing such subjects as design, analysis, operation, maintenance, and practical applications, this text not only provides the "why," but also the "how" of fluid power systems operations. Features of the sixth edition include: All material on ancillary hydraulic devices has been combined into a new Chapter 11, resulting in more coherent and focused chapters on these and other major components. Example problems and end-of-chapter exercises have been updated to better reflect current industrial applications. A new section 8.6 includes coverage on proportional control valves. Derivations of key equations have been removed from various chapters and combined into a new Appendix I, allowing readers to better concentrate on applications without undue emphasis on mathematical analysis.
